Breakaway panel session: Accountability and anti-corruption measures
Experts from academia and practice will discuss the liability of companies and their managers for offences relating to human right violations committed in the context of overseas operations. This two-day conference has been developed through in-depth research with leaders in anti-corruption, compliance and risk management and in partnership with the Basel Institute on Governance. Designed to provide all attendees with the best platform for networking and sharing experiences of cutting-edge risk mitigation strategies in compliance.
From 1 - 4 December 2016 you will find the Basel Institute on Governance at the International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) in Panama City. The IACC is the world’s premier global forum for bringing together heads of state, civil society, the private sector and more to tackle the increasingly sophisticated challenges posed by corruption.
Gemma Aiolfi, Head of Compliance and Corporate Governance / Collective Action, will give a speech on "The Company’s Role in Preventing and Combating Corruption" during the event "New ISO 37001 certification on the “Anti-Corruption System”: benefits and prospects for Italian companies" at Bonelli Erede in Milan and Rome.
The B20 Responsible Business Conduct & Anti-Corruption Cross-thematic Group will have its kick-off meeting on October 21 in Basel. The meeting is organized co-jointly with the Basel Institute on Governance. After a presentation on the implementation status of previous B20 recommendations, participants will discuss current priorities of the business community on responsible business conduct, and then debate the agenda of the B20 Cross-thematic Group under German presidency.
The International Centre for Collective Action (ICCA) at the Basel Institute on Governance will hold a conference on “Collective Action: Evidence, Experience and Impact” on 20 - 21 October 2016 in Basel, Switzerland.
