The EJB’s Integrity Network Initiative is happy to invite you to its upcoming conference “Cooperating against Corruption – Integrity as a Pillar for Sustainable Economic Development” which will be held on May 15th and 16th at the Marriott Hotel in Zamalek/Cairo.

The Conference aims to raise awareness of the importance of integrity efforts for the business sector and more specifically will look at the importance of countering corruption in light of its influence on long-term investment and a sustainable economic development of Egypt.

High-level representatives of the Egyptian government sector, as well as international experts and civil society representatives, including the Basel Institute's Gemma Aiolfi, Head of Compliance, Corporate Governance and Collective Action, will come together with business sector stakeholders to present and discuss this crucial issue area.

The first day of the conference (Sunday May 15th from 10 a.m. to ca. 5 p.m.) will focus on different high-level panel discussions that highlight different aspects relating to integrity and the business environment.

On May 16th (ca. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) a workshop will be held that is mostly targeted at small and medium sized enterprises (SME), to discuss ways to engage SMEs in integrity efforts. International experts will present and discuss new and existing anti-corruption and compliance tools for SMEs, as well as SME-specific challenges and opportunities.
