Mission
Safeguard the green economy in Italy from threats of fraud and corruption
Goals
The project aimed at:
- Designing a sound framework to avoid misuses and illegal practices,
- Enhancing awareness in the business environment and among public institutions,
- Promoting fair market conditions through clear and transparent procedures, and
- Disseminating results to raise awareness on the issue.
The project focused three sectors:
- Renewable energies
- Logistics/mobility of persons and goods
- Innovation technologies
Stakeholders
To carry out this project, a multi-disciplinary partnership was established by Tranparency Internaational Italy, the National Anti-Corruption Authority, and the Research Centre on Security and Crime (RiSSC).
The project was funded under the Siemens Integrity Initiative.
Activities
The project actinities included:
- Broadening knowledge on criminal patterns, market and corporate vulnerabilities;
- Organising laboratories to enhance the capacity to prevent risks and reduce losses; and
- Setting up a dialogue platform between the public and private sectors to promote the design and adoption of ad hoc standards.
