Developing a corporate anti-corruption ecosystem in Egypt

Mission

Strengthen a corporate anti-corruption ecosystem in Egypt

Goals

The project aims to achieve three primary goals:

  • Establishing a sustainable Integrity Network in Egypt through multi-stakeholder engagement, offering policy recommendations on anti-corruption issues. This initiative includes a comprehensive communications strategy for global outreach.

  • Encouraging Egyptian SMEs to commit to anti-corruption practices via an Integrity Pledge, tailored training for senior management and compliance officers, along with centralized support for pledge implementation. An independent assessment process for these SMEs will evaluate their anti-corruption efforts.

  • Providing tangible business advantages and incentives to ethical SMEs in Egypt to encourage their participation in the anti-corruption fight. Emphasizing the business value of fighting corruption aims to motivate enterprises to adopt anti-corruption practices and increase the relevance of the Integrity Network.

Stakeholders

The project was implemented by the United Nations Global Compact in cooperation with the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB).
