Mission

Promote principles of business ethics in Paraguay

Goals

Pacto Ético y Cumplimiento (Ethics and Compliance Pact, PEC) s a non-profit civil association that brings together efforts and initiatives from the private sector to promote principles of business ethics in Paraguay.

PEC provides certification of companies' business ethics programmes.

Stakeholders

PEC was founded in a joint effort between the Paraguayan American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Chamber of Advertisers of Paraguay (CAP), with support from the United States Embassy.

Activities

Key activities include:

  • Providing educational initiatives and training sessions to enhance awareness and understanding of ethical business practices among members
  • Hosting events focused on promoting ethical business practices, encouraging formalizstion of the economy, and strategies for preventing and combating corruption
  • Developing mechanisms for evaluating and certifying the compliance behavior of member companies
  • Serving as a platform to coordinate and consolidate efforts of private sector initiatives related to business ethics and facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders to drive Collective Action towards ethical business practices
  • Providing resources and tools to support companies in adopting and implementing responsible business practices
