Mission

Drive reforms to reduce mismanagement, inefficiency, corruption, and risks in infrastructure projects

Goals

CoST – the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative is a country-centred multi-stakeholder initiative designed to promote transparency and accountability in publicly financed construction. Its main objectives are to:

  • Improve the value for money spent on public infrastructure construction;
  • Achieve the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects at lower costs;
  • Enhance the utilisation of funds in public construction to produce better and more reliable infrastructure;
  • Generate savings to extend social and economic services;
  • Raise investor confidence.

Stakeholders

CoST works with government, industry and civil society to promote the disclosure, validation and interpretation of data from infrastructure projects, to inform and empower citizens to hold decision-makers accountable.
