African Certification of Corporate Governance (ACCG)

This project aims to support the efforts of the Ivorian Government and specialised agencies by encouraging and providing support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the implementation of good corporate governance measures.

The first objective of this project is to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of implementing good corporate governance measures. Examples of good practices and ways to implement these practices will be presented to participating SMEs through a year-long training scheme and the dissemination of a monthly newsletter.

The second objective, after the training period, aims to provide support to 60 SMEs for three years. During this time, at least three good corporate governance measures will be implemented in each SME (one per year) with the help and support of an Expert Consultant. At the end of the three years, by March 2024, all SMEs who have successfully implemented at least three good corporate governance measures will receive the Certificate of Good Governance.

This certificate will serve as a competitive and commercial advantage for SMEs. The certification will be guaranteed by the private sector itself through the promotion of the Certificate to Eurocham’s members and partners.
