Improving the Effectiveness of Compliance Programs of Chinese Enterprises
Mission
Promote effective compliance management in Chinese enterprises
Goals
The project aimed to improve effective compliance management within Chinese enterprises. Specifically, its objectives were to:
-
Support enterprises in three target industries (energy, industry and healthcare) to improve the effectiveness of compliance management by submitting policy recommendations to government, building alliances in the target industries to address key compliance issues, publishing compliance books and conducting compliance forums to promote tools and best practices for effective compliance management.
-
Promote a compliance and integrity-focused initiative within the "Belt and Road" framework by securing commitment from relevant Chinese departments, collaborating with pilot enterprises to address compliance risks, and facilitating capacity building and knowledge sharing among these enterprises.
-
Support the development of skilled compliance professionals by developing a training curriculum for compliance practitioners at various levels and conducting trainings, and by advocating for official recognition of compliance professionals as a recognized profession in China.
Stakeholders
The project was implemented by the Beijing New Century Academy on Transnational Corporations (NATC) with funding from the Siemens Integrity Initiative.
