Goals
The Inter-American Coalition for Business Ethics in the Medical Technology Sector aims to:
- Promote a high standard of ethical business practices within the medical technology sector;
- Foster ethical industry collaboration with healthcare professionals, ethical third-party intermediary relationships, and government involvement in fostering high-standard ethics in the health system;
- Measure the positive impact of ethical business practices in the medical technology sector.
Activities
As of 2019, the Coalition has facilitated universal adoption of codes of ethics by every medical technology industry association in the western hemisphere. The Coalition also collaborates with the Inter-American Development Bank and Americas Business Dialogue to promote transparency.
