Boost thecorporate governance performance of SOEs in Romania

Goals

The Roundtable with SOEs on Corporate Governance is an initiative encouraging the exchange of best practices in compliance and corporate governance from the private sector to state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

The main purpose of the initiative is to facilitate knowledge transfer from the private sector to SOEs and equip compliance and governance professionals in SOEs with the tools and knowledge they need to enhance the corporate governance of their respective companies. By promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors, the objective of the initiative is to drive positive change and boost the performance of SOEs in Romania.

Stakeholders

The Roundtable is hosted by the Ministry of Justice of Romania in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania).

It is the first initiative of its kind in Romania and has been featured since 2021 as an action point in the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
