Corruption Prevention Network (JAGA)
Mission
Elevate governance transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and the involvement of Indonesian citizens in anti-corruption efforts
Goals
JAGA is committed to elevating governance transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and the involvement of Indonesian citizens in anti-corruption efforts. Its core objective is to mitigate misinformation by ensuring public access to reliable information about public services, thereby empowering citizens with the knowledge to actively participate in governance processes.
Central to JAGA’s initiative is the development of a comprehensive platform that bridges the information gap between government bodies and citizens. This platform focuses on key sectors such as education, health services, and corruption prevention, among others, facilitating an open exchange of success stories and reports on social aid. By embodying the spirit of open government, JAGA empowers both citizens and government ministries, fostering a collaborative environment for governance improvement.
Stakeholders
The success of JAGA is built upon its wide stakeholder base, encompassing 16 national ministries, citizens, watchdogs, and NGOs. This inclusive model ensures a diverse range of perspectives and contributions, making the platform a collective effort towards better governance.
JAGA’s reach and effectiveness are evident through its expansive user base of approximately 500,000 across Indonesia, highlighting the platform’s significant role in mobilizing citizen engagement.
Activities
The success stories emerging from the platform, particularly in social aid reporting, illustrate the tangible outcomes of JAGA’s work in enhancing governance.
