Anti-Corruption Business Club (ABC)

Mission

Raise awareness about transparency, accountability and integrity among the companies in Madagascar

Goals

The Anti-Corruption Business Club (ABC) aims to raise awareness about transparency, accountability and integrity among the companies in the private sector in Madagascar.

ABC’s goal is to strengthen the capacities of private sector companies to prevent and tackle corruption, while promoting a culture of integrity and responsibility within the Madagascan economic sector.

Stakeholders

ABC was launched by the Transparency International Initiative Madagascar (TI-MG). It is the first platform among civil society in Madagascar that brings together companies wishing to commit to the fight against corruption in Madagascar.

Activities

ABC provides training sessions on the fight against corruption, specifically designed for private sector companies, taking into account the challenges and constraints specific to this sector. In addition to these training courses, ABC provides specific anti-bribery tools tailored to the particular needs of private sector companies. Also, ABC represents an opportunity for networking and Collective Action for companies that share the values of integrity in their activities.

Companies that commit to joining the ABC sign a Charter of ZERO tolerance of corruption in all their business processes, and the club helps them to support this commitment by providing training and awareness-raising modules in the fight against corruption. This includes several sessions to assess the risk of corruption in the company’s processes (Self Evaluation Tool) but also promoting that companies adopt an anti-corruption management system, and that eventually each of them will be able and publish an ESG Report demonstrating transparency, accountability and integrity.
