Mission

Encourage exchange and communication of best practices to help prevent, detect and deter corruption-related issues in Canada and beyond

Goals

The Canadian Centre of Excellence for Anti-Corruption (CCEAC) is an academically based platform that encourages exchange and communication of best practices to help prevent, detect and deter corruption-related issues in Canada and beyond. The CCEAC works to promote ethical governance, compliance, legal risk management, accountability, and transparency at all levels and across all sectors of society.

Stakeholders

CCEAC works with academic institutions, industry, private and public institutions, and other stakeholders to foster Collective Action to combat corruption.

CCEAC participates in the Basel Institute’s Collective Action Mentoring Programme.

Activities

CCEAC has been focusing on the following activities:

  • Building the capacity of SMEs in Canada to prevent corruption through training and technical assistance;
  • Promoting anti-corruption among future gatekeepers, including lawyers, accountants, and other key professionals in positions of leadership.
