Mission
Develop anti-corruption laws in the taxation sector to promote sustainability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
Goals
The project ‘Fostering Integrity through Collective Action: Advancing Legal Framework to Combat Corruption in the DRC’s Taxation System’ aims to develop anti-corruption laws in the taxation sector to promote sustainability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
By bringing together voices from the private sector, public sector, and civil society, the initiative seeks to craft a regulatory framework that enhances integrity in tax administration. Through collaborative dialogue and inclusive decision-making, the goal is to create effective legal mechanisms that combat corruption while meeting the diverse needs of Congolese society.
This collective effort mobilizes support and fosters consensus on anti-corruption measures that drive sustainable development. Advocating for efficient tax collection, allocation of revenues to sustainable projects, social equity, environmental protection, and economic growth, the initiative lays the groundwork for a resilient and prosperous future in the DRC. By uniting stakeholders and instilling a culture of accountability and transparency, the initiative aims to contribute significantly to the country’s sustainable development agenda, ensuring that tax revenues benefit society at large in the DRC.
