Advancing Collective Action against Corruption through the Global Compact Network in Thailand

Strengthen anti-corruption Collective Action within the Thai business sector

The initiative was established with the aim to expand and strengthen Collective Action in anti-corruption efforts within the Thai business sector. Its main objectives are to:

• Create and strengthen channels for dialogue, collaboration, and policy-making between the private sector and government;
• Build the capacity of private sector actors, particularly SMEs in supply chains, to develop and implement anti-corruption tools.

The initiative is facilitated by the Global Compact Network Thailand. It received seed funding under the Siemens Integrity Initiative.

The initaitive partnered with the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) in Thailand and the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD).

The initiative conducted a needs assessment and one-on-one consultations with over 20 member companies. On the basis of the assessment, a publication was developed on ‘Anti-Corruption Compliance Challenges and Case Studies: Findings from the Thai Private Sector’. The initiative also established an Anti-Corruption Sub-Committee within the Global Compact Network Indonesia, serving as a Quarterly Learning Hub.
