Global Compact Network Ukraine Collective Action Initiative
The Collective Action initiative spearheaded by the Global Compact Network Ukraine is dedicated to fostering transparency, integrity, and anti-corruption measures among Ukrainian businesses. Its primary mission is to mobilise diverse stakeholders from the public and private sectors to collaborate in combating corruption, thereby facilitating sustainable economic development and societal progress.
Since its inception in September 2020, the initiative has embarked on numerous endeavors. These include organising the annual Anti-Corruption Week, which convenes expert panels and discussions involving stakeholders from business, government, and academia.
Furthermore, the initiative introduced a Memorandum on Joint Anti-Corruption Actions, gathering support from 52 signatories spanning companies and NGOs.
The Network also developed educational resources such as the handbook "Fighting against Corruption: Collective Action," alongside offerings like "Business Integrity Lessons from a War Zone”.
Furthermore, the Network launched a video course on anti-corruption aimed at cultivating fair business practices among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), crucial for their integration into supply chains of major Ukrainian and international firms. Produced in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Office for Enterprise and Export Development, the course is accessible on governmental platforms like Diia.Business and Diia.Digital Education.
The network engages in awareness raising and outreach activities. An anti-corruption art installation symbolising individual responsibility in combating corruption gained nation wide attention.
In collaboration with UNOPS and the Ministry for Restoration, the initiative has organised a series of workshops, particularly focusing on public procurement and tender themes, leveraging UN expertise as well the experience of local experts.
