Coalition for Transparent Business

Mission

Promote ethical values, transparency in public procurement and overall cultivation of the business environment in the Czech Republic

Goals

The Coalition for Transparent Business is an open association of companies working to promote ethical values, transparency in public procurement and overall cultivation of the business environment in the Czech Republic. The Coalition Assembly is the highest body within the organisation structure, consisting of the CEOs of Coalition members.

The initiative monitor role is provided by Oživení, o.s., an NGO in the Czech Republic. As independent monitor, the organisation regularly controls fulfilment of the Declaration, informing the Coalition assembly of any findings. Coalition members must allow the monitor to look at their internal rules systems in areas of corruption, fraud and unfair competition.

The initiative also works closely with the Platform for Transparent Public Procurement, a Czech multi-stakeholder initiative that, together with the Coalition, played an important role in preparing an amendment to the Public Procurement Act, put in place in April 2012.
